Aster DM Healthcare, founded by Dr. Azad Moopen, began its journey in 1987 as a single clinic in Dubai and has since become one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in GCC and India with a strong presence across more than 7 countries. We operate in multiple segments, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic labs, serving patients across economic segments. For over 37 years, we have remained committed to our mission of providing quality healthcare—pushing the boundaries of excellence and setting global benchmarks in medicine and patient care.

Since commencing operations in 2001 in Kerala, we have emerged as the 4th largest healthcare service provider in India, with a strong presence across primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary healthcare. Today, our extensive network in India spans across 19 hospitals with 5,128 beds, 13 clinics, 203 pharmacies (Operated by Alfaone Retail Pharmacies Private Limited under brand license from Aster), and 254 labs and patient experience centers across 5 states in India. Our team of over 21,500 dedicated professionals—including more than 2,500 doctors and 6,300 nurses—stands united in our promise to every stakeholder: “We’ll treat you well.”

Over the last two decades, we have built a strong track record of providing healthcare services in metro as well as Tier II & III cities across India. Our successful business model in tier II & tier III cities like Kochi, Calicut, Kannur, Guntur, Vijayawada and Kolhapur in the states of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, have contributed significantly to our growth. With a vision to provide world-class healthcare, our achievements in the field of medical excellence and patient care are a testament to the organization’s strong track record and forward-looking goals. Recognized by leading industry bodies like FICCI and AHPI for excellence in patient care along with accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), we support patients throughout their entire journey, from diagnosis to advanced treatment, through sophisticated care models offered at our state-of-the-art facilities.

 In FY 2023-24, Aster DM Healthcare achieved a significant milestone by strategically segregating its GCC and India business, creating two distinct regional healthcare entities. The segregation enabled the India entity to unlock true value and pursue tailored strategies that align with India's market dynamics. Building on this momentum, in FY 2024-25, Aster DM Healthcare, India announced a merger with Blackstone-backed Quality Care India Ltd., which is currently progressing through the necessary regulatory, corporate, and shareholder approval processes.
